GEORGE TOMLIN
President & CEO

George, a Nashville based real estate executive, has over 29 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to founding GBT in 1987, George ran the Nashville based office of WM Capital Corporation (based in New York) and American Diversified Capital Corporation (based in Costa Mesa). During these years George gained strong experience in the acquisition,  development, construction, leasing, and management of commercial properties including office, retail, and multi-family apartments. In 1990 George converted GBT to a retail development firm and has directed the firm into one with great respect in the retail development industry. During his career in commercial real estate George has been actively involved in over 20 million square feet of property acquisition, development, and management. George has been an active member in the International Council of Shopping Centers for over 20 years.

KEN LARISH
Executive Vice President

Ken has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, including as an attorney, a developer and as a sales and leasing agent. Ken has practiced law both in Nashville, Tennessee and in Dallas, Texas, where he was General Counsel of RM Crowe, a Texas-based holding and management company, and an attorney with Baker Botts L.L.P. As an attorney, Ken specialized in the representation of major real estate developers, owners and tenants nationwide. He has been involved in over 20 million square feet of commercial transactions, and served as legal counsel in both major corporate mergers and acquisitions and in private placements. For the past several years, Ken has specialized in capital formation, leading the structuring of multiple private transactions and investments.

FRASER SCHAUFELE
Vice President of Leasing and Brokerage

Fraser has over 10 years of experience in the retail real estate business. Prior to joining GBT Realty in 2010, Fraser leased a large portion of a 13 million square foot retail portfolio in the Washington DC metro market for The Rappaport Companies. During his years there he gained unique experience leasing large power centers, mixed-use projects and urban first floor retail. Along with traditional brokerage, Fraser is actively sourcing opportunities for GBT’s Net Lease Division. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

GEREN MOOR
Chief Financial Officer

As CFO at GBT Realty, Geren leads the financial team responsible for securing capital needed for GBT’s new development activities and its existing portfolio of properties. He is also directly responsible for asset management at the company, including all disposition activities. Geren joined GBT Realty Corporation in 2007 and had previously spent 20 years in banking and real estate finance. In his last role at Wachovia, Geren was Director of Wachovia’s Tennessee Real Estate Division and led the origination of multi-million dollar transactions requiring equity, mezzanine and senior debt approaching $1 billion. Geren earned his MBA from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management in 1987.

EVAN GOWER
General Counsel

Evan is the primary legal officer for GBT Realty and its numerous subsidiaries and affiliates, overseeing all acquisitions, dispositions, and development, with 10 years experience in commercial real estate development and finance. Prior to joining GBT in 2007, Evan was a member with Bone McAllester Norton PLLC in Nashville.

DON ROBINSON
Vice President
of Construction Management

Don has over 40 years experience in construction, including as a general contractor licensed in 13 states. Prior to becoming Vice President of Construction for Target in 1978 and Service Merchandise in 1985, Don served in the construction departments of several notable companies, including McDonald’s and Sinclair/BP Oil.

CRAIG COLE
Senior Vice President
of Development

Craig is a licensed civil engineer with over 10 years experience in development and site design. Craig has designed over five million completed square feet of retail development in the past five years, and prior to joining GBT headed up a team for Gresham Smith & Partners that built over
200 Dollar General stores.

BOB GAGE
Vice President of Development

Bob is a former Director of Development for Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he oversaw the development of 183 stores nationwide. Prior to Dick’s, Bob served as a Project Manager for both Bristol Development and MJM Architects. Bob has 23 years experience in the design and project management field.

GAYLOR COLE
Vice President of Acquisitions

Gaylor has almost 30 years of commercial real estate experience. For more than a decade he has been handling site selection for major national retailers, including Shoney’s/Captain D’s, McDonald’s, Hardees and Krystal. Prior to joining GBT in 2004, Gaylor served as Director of Real Estate for both J. Alexander’s and Logan’s.

CHUCK VARN
Vice President of Acquisitions

Chuck has over 13 years of commercial real estate experience. He began his career in 1996 with RCC/Aegis in the leasing division. Prior to coming to GBT, Chuck spent four years with Regency Corporation in the Investment Services Division. He joined GBT Realty in 2004. Since that time, Chuck has been very successful identifying opportunities and then leading the acquisition of properties needed for the developments.

GREG KUENNING
Vice President of Acquisitions

Greg has over 10 years of build-to-suit experience with retailers including CVS, Home Depot, Rite Aid, Tire Kingdom, & AT&T Wireless. Greg worked for developers Bear Creek Capital from 1998 to 2001, Vision Land Development from 2002 to 2005, and Newton Oldacre McDonald from 2005 to 2009. With a strong background in site acquisition, Greg joined the GBT acquisitions team in 2010 with a focus on securing sites for clients of GBT’s Net Lease Division. Greg operates GBT’s satellite office located in Cincinnati, OH.

ROBERT S. GOLDFARB
Controller

Bob has been the Controller for GBT Realty Corporation for the last 11 years. Prior to GBT Bob was the Manager of Partners Account at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (New York and Nashville) and the Manager of Corporate Fixed Assets for American Broadcasting Company (New York).
